Who are your 5 favorite less well known guitarists?

Basically who are your favorite obscure and/or underrated guitar players?

I'd go with:

1. Robert Fripp (King Crimson)

2. Michael Karoli (Can)

3. Matt Pike (High On Fire/Sleep)

4. Trey Azagthoth (Morbid Angel)

5. Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth)

I'm an oldtimer, so I have to pick guitarists none of you youngsters have heard before...

    1. Will Ray (The Hellecasters...quite possibly the single greatest guitarist walking the face of the Earth right now!!!)

    2. Nokie Edwards (The Ventures) An encyclopedia of guitar knowledge.

    3. Zal Yanowsky (The Lovin' Spoonful) First turned me onto that chicken pickin' country style.

    4. Bugs Henderson ( This cat can solo all night long and never repeat himself..great blues guitarist)

    5. Doug Pettibone (played guitar on alot of Lucinda Williams albums..loved his off the wall feedback drenched solos in the middle of country songs...wild stuff)
