Convince parents to let me go to a BVB concert?
Okay so really its just my mom. She does not like Black Veil Brides AT ALL. She'll let me download the music off of iTunes, but she wont let me go to a concert. I'm only 13 and she always says I'm too young. I asked about a day ago. I'll tell you the exact conversation. "Hey, mom. Black Veil Brides is having a concert on the 12th of November on Saturday in Sacramento. Is it okay if I can go?" She started shaking her head no right when I said concert. She said " No, you're just too young and I can't imagine how many 13 year olds would be there" " What do you mean?" " I'm saying that there probably won't be a lot of 13 year olds there" "So what, Not all of they're fans are grown up 20 year olds" and that was the end of it. She just kinda walked away. I want to convince her in letting me go. I know that the fanbase is mostly 12-15 year olds, but she says there wont be many kids my age. Umm she hasn't been to a bvb concert so she wouldn't know? This will be my first concert ever. I've heard that there isn't any violence at the concerts or rarely is there a mosh pit. I just want a bunch of things to tell her to let me go. Also I don't really know what my step-dad thinks of it, sooo.... my birthdad is perfectly okay with it, but my mom is the one with full custody so she makes the desicions not him.

Is there anyway someone can go with you? At least that way she will feel like you're safe or whatever.. or you should show her some live concerts of BVB on youtube? .. That way you can show her what it's like..
If all else fails, tell her how much this will mean to you. Beg and plead with her. Anyway, good luck & I hope you get to go!

Sorry kid, but it's best if you listen to her. You're only 13, so I can see why they don't want you to go alone. I know my parents wouldn't let me go to a concert by myself when I was younger. You should at least bring a friend or two because it's better to be on the safe side. Oh and I'm sure they have moshpits, any rock band has a moshpit.

I don't know what Pat's talking about, the way I see it most of the audience are teens anyway, and violence at shows? I've never seen violence at any of the shows I've been to, other than moshing of course, but that's just good clean fun, and I'm talking about full on death metal shows, a BVB concert is hardly much to worry about.

Dude I'm in exactly the same position as you. I'm only 14. My only advice would be find proof (e.g. decents videos of BVB) and show it to your mom. Another thing - respect her decision. Yeh, you probably didn't want to hear that, but I'm serious. Good conduct works wonders. If you avoid getting mad, your mom will be more likely to listen to you.

Your mom is kinda right, and believe it or not there is violence and mosh pits at concerts, it's shocking I know. But honestly, unless you have a bunch of other people with you, your mom is probably right. Not trying to be a killjoy, but 7th graders shouldn't be going by themselves to a BVB concert.

Yous should find someone older to come with you, someone your mom trusts. I'm sure she would be more flexible with you
