How to setup my Thunderbird 6.0.2 for Yahoo mail?

I tried YPOPs but it didn't work and most of discussions are pretty old. Anyone had the same experience?

    I do not believe YPOPS has worked since the new version of Yahoo mail came out. You have 2 choices. For POP3 and SMTP you must pay $19.99 a year for a plus account. You can use IMAP free which is what I do. You will have to have another account with SMTP for outgoing mail.

    paying does not help. i have had a paid account for years
