in IE9, is it possible to permanently disable the floating panel?

at the bottom of the window that says 'speed up browsing.....'.

    It only appears when it has recently been installed. If you cancel it a few times on the trot it just disappears for good. I have not been pestered by it for months now.

    Just keep telling it to disappear and it will.

    Windows is renowned for giving you automated advice and warnings that you do not want.

    However if it wants to speed up your browsing then it might be worth looking into it!

    click the 'choose add ons' button and change the 'warn me when..........' to '10 seconds' then click OK and it shouldn't bother you again
