Sound problems with upgrading windows xp to 7?

Hi there,

I have just upgraded from Xp to Windows 7 and everything is perfect but there is no sound at all

Plz Help!!

    Start>All Programs>Accessories>Command Prompt

    In Command Prompt enter: wmic csproduct get name and press enter.

    it will then display your computer model.

    Now Google Your model for an audio Driver example

    Hp Pavilion dv6 1245dx audio driver and download the driver from your manufactures website.

    You can also let windows 7 try and fix it:

    Click Start in search enter troubleshooting and click it

    under hardware and sound click troubleshoot audio playback

    Uninstall audio drivers completely and then install the driver that is working.

    1. Click Start,type Device Manager in the Start Search box, and then pressENTER.

    2. In the Device Manager dialog box, expandSound, video, and game controllers.

    3. Locate the audio device that was included with the computer.

    3. Right-click the device, and then clickProperties.

    4. Click theDriver tab, and then click Uninstall.

    5. Place a check mark next to"Delete the Driver Software for this device" check box, and then click OK.

    6. Install the driver that is working.

    7. Restart the computer and check if the issue persists.

    You need windows 7 Driver for your sound card. Go to the manufacturers web site and download them, there is a good chance Windows 7 will find them in a few days on it's own, Windows is very smart at finding Drivers it needs.

    Have you clicked the speaker in the tool bar and check that the sound is switch is on and the sliders at the top . good luck
