    Are you american or British, because a quart means different things in the two countries.

    In the UK a quart is 40 fl oz, so a quart would weigh 40oz, or 2lb 8 oz.

    In the USA a quart is 32 fl oz, so a quart would weigh 32 oz or 2lb.

    1.0 quart is 2 pints.1.0 pint is 16ounces = 1.0lb US measure).

    2 pints x 16oz/pint = 2 lbs

    Imperial (UK) measure.

    1 quart UK = 40oz = 2.5lb = 2 pints UK

    1 fluid ounce = 0.0284 L

    1 pint = 4 gills = 20 oz. = 0.568 L

    1 quart = 2 pints = 40 oz. = 1.137 L

    1 gallon = 4 quarts = 8 pints = 160 oz. = 4.550 L

    well, since 1 pint of water weighs 1 pound, you have to convert quarts to pints (thus pounds).

    1 pint is 0.5 quarts, so 1 quart is 2 pounds.

    That was easy.

    1 ml = 1 g

    1 quart = 946.4 g

    1 g = 0.00220462262 lbs

    946.4 g = 2.09 lb
