Mustang vs mustang cobra?

Need more info.

What year of Mustangs are you looking at? Given the more recent Mach 1s and Cobras that came out with the 4.6 liter V8, the supercharged Cobra was more powerful (and faster) than the naturally aspirated Mach 1. Acceleration times to 60 were over a full second apart with the Cobra leading the way at 4.5 seconds and the Mach at 5.6. Both cars had good straight power but their weight limited their cornering ability especially with their traditional rear axle/suspension setup.

The 03-04 Mach 1 had (basically) the same motor as the 96-02 Cobra, but no IRS, an available auto, and different styling. I like the Mach 1 alot but the Terminators or GT500s will kill it

they all do about the same just depends on how much money you want to fork out and what type of performance you are wanting to get out of it plus the year matters too. 1960's/70's mustangs any model are really only good for strait drag racing stock and the gt500 was the fastest i believe in the 80 it was the gt cobra was the best also really only good for drag not grate on corners without significant mods. in the 90's mustang changed things around with a litter body that was more built for cornering were ok on track still not the best in early 2000's they had the gt(only good for drag racing but has very powerful engine) and cobra( came in a light weight v6 and some in v8 and had a lighter body good for track racing but overall was not crazy fast but was fairly quick). in the late 2000's ford changed it up again and all the models were good for any form of racing cause they came with auto tuned suspension which would change based on location and what setting you wished to put it in. but the 429 cobra i believe is the best of all of them stock but if you go with a small block like the 302 or 351 you can get better numbers after installing mods then you can with a big block simply because of less weight.

Think the Mach 1, not sure!
