I have a 2003 chevy cavilear?
it starts fine and all I put my foot on the brake (aotomatic) to put into reverse or drive the car its self will not move almost like its still in park suggestions?

From what you have stated you need to check the shift linkage cable on the transmission to make sure its still connected.If the bolt that holds this cable comes off this could cause this problem.This problem could also be caused by the shift cable being broken.Best of luck.
