are dairy products bad for your bones?

I heard that dairy is very bad for you and it actually depletes the calcium from your bones. I noticed when i was drinking lots of skim milk and eating cottage cheese that my nails would ALWAYS break and now that i avoid dairy products and drink almond milk my nails are healthy and strong.

Dairy products like milk and yoghurt contain calcium. Wherever you heard that, it's wrong.

If the milk you were drinking was UHT, there's a chance that the milk doesn't have much (if any) calcium in it.
