I need a new hair iron, need tips?
Hey guys. I'm a guy with medium length hair (for a guy), but I plan to grow it out but it looks terrible unless I use a straightener. I'm willing to spend $50-70 on one but I also want a straightener that will make the hair last. I'm less concerned about the quality of how straight it gets and more that it just works fine and won't break easily. I was looking up on Amazon and I found these two straighteners.

I've heard Chi is the best, but the Remington comes with free shipping because of Amazon Prime membership. In general, what kind of quality can I expect from something that costs like $40-50? I'm also a little suspicious that this CHI is so cheap... is this a cheap knockoff? I've heard most cost well over $100. Feedback would be appreciated, I'll give some points!

My daughter and I have tried several different irons, I've always fought the frizz had even thinned and relaxed it... A dozen later and lots more money than we wanted to spend we found the Remington wet 2 straight.. Amazing results and no damage even to dry hair, AND out can be used on wet hair without scorching! :) runs about $35-$40

I recommend a great flat iron that leaves the hair soft, shiny and very straight, it's the Karmin G3 Salon Pro, it heats up to 450f with temperature control, dual voltage, tourmaline ceramic plates with rounded edges which makes it great for also curling your hair. Also has a 3 year warranty. You can buy from http://myhairstylingtools.com/ or if you are in Canada you can buy at http://www.rylees.ca/ . Or check out the reviews at http://flatironsreviews.com/ . It works pretty good with any type of hair. I hope this helps.

I had a knockoff brand like Remington and it may have lasted 3 months. I jus got my 2nd CHI! I didn't need to buy a new one, but I'm a girl and I wanted a red one lol. My first one lasted me 5 years!!! They are definitely worth it! I understand you really don't want to spend a lot of money, but it's one of those things, "you get what you pay for," unless you get it at a REALLY good deal like this one....

There is a better hair straightener I recommend that leaves the hair soft, shiny and super straight, it's the Karmin G3 Salon Pro with ceramic tourmaline plates to avoid damages, it heats up really quick and it works very good because it only takes me a very short amount of time to get my hair completely straight. Plus I have no problems with frizz.I bought it at safrons http://www.safrons.com/karmin-g3-salon-pro-profess... Good luck!

Go to your local drug store like Walgreens. All the hair straighteners there are good. Obviously, the more expensive ones are better, but they are allldurable and straighten. Although, do not ever get a hair iron with iron. Always get ceramic.

I have naturally curly hair and like to straighten mine out sometimes. I found a straightener called Zoe and it only cost between $25 and $29 dollars. It works good and is smooth going down my hair. You don't have to spend a lot to have good results. Oh and you can find this at Walmart.
