Can someone help me choose a camera?

I'm interested in either the Fuji S4000 or HS20. I'm wondering if the HS20 is worth the extra money? It's also a bit bigger and heavier, which is a little bit of a drawback for me. Does anyone have experience with these two? How do they compare, especially taking inside pix. I have a Kodak Z980, and it doesn't take really great indoor/low light pix. The new cameras also have the zoom control on the shutter button, which is wonderful!! Thanks for any help you can give!

Update:

Also, is there any difference in the shutter lag time? That's my main peeve with digital - I miss shots waiting on the camera!! I'd certainly go with a more expensive and slightly larger camera to eliminate that dang lag time!!! Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The HS20 is clearly a superior camera as shown in this shootout

Now, if it has features you're not going to use, it may not be worth the extra $. Do you really need 1080p movies over 720p? I can't tell the difference on my TV. Now you mentioned low light performance so maybe the 12,800 ISO is worth it to you.

Shutter lag. Most cameras keep improving this, so much so, that I can't find where it is measured anymore. Shutter lag is caused by focusing issues. Focusing in low light is difficult for cameras. Improving your low light performance will improve your shutter lag. Keerok is right, DSLR's are vastly superior when it comes to shutter lag. Maybe it is time for you to move up to a DSLR. If you decide to shop for a DSLR, Nikon and Canon lead the field, not that the other brands aren't also excellent.

Fed up with shutter lag? Get a dSLR. They start at $500.

Any camera it seems is an upgrade from a Kodak.

The FinePix HS20EXR sports a full complement of sophisticated manual and semi-automatic shooting modes and photographic controls.
