Neck pain months after concussion?
I got a minor concussion over five months ago and i spent two weeks on my couch. After that i went back to school and after gym class i did have some pain and this summer while i went to the gym i had head pain for the rest of the day. i got my concussion from gymnastics.
but only recently did i start getting neck pain, it comes up randomly and it feels sore and terrible. it makes it hard to sleep, sit, stand or do anything at all. after i get massages it stops hurting for a few minutes and then comes back worse then before.
also, i sleep on two pillows (i find it uncomfortable to sleep on one) i don`t do much physical activity outside of gym class and this has been persisting for over a week now.
what is wrong with me? can i fix it or should i go to a doctor?

Have you tried changing your pillow? In order to maintain comfortable sleep, a pillow MUST provide support for the neck as you change positions during the night.
Water pillows specifically are helpful because they support that neck and spine by actually adjusting as the user sleeps. The waterbase in the pillow shifts to fill the gap needed for cervical support and cradle the head as you sleep.
When you sleep, you want to keep your neck and spine in a normal, healthy position. Your pillow choice will change depending on your sleep position. If you sleep on your back for example, using a pillow that is too firm and fluffy will thrust your head forward while you sleep, leading to slight spinal misalignments, which is enough to put pressure on nerves and cause pain.
