How to get guys to dance with me at a mixer?! *10 points best answer*?
I'm going to a mixer Friday and I'm either wearing a cropped football jersey or a white t-shirt cut down the sides and cropped with black shorts (it's what everyone wears to these). So I don't need help with clothing. But what attracts guys to grinding with girls? I want to be danced/grinded with. Grinding is how everyone will dance, since it's a mixer. At mixers it's all fast songs and a lot of grinding. No slow songs. So I've grinded before, but I don't do anything special, I move my hips to the rhythm the guy is moving. I don't even think I look good dancing, but whatever, I just have fun. I'm not a great dancer, but I can move my hips and throw my hands in the air.
Tips on dancing better? How to attract guys to grind with me? Also, how to get them to talk to me after dancing?!!? Thanks guys!!
Sorry I'm asking a lot, but I need more people to answer... And this isn't the type of thing where you go up to a guy and talk to them then dance. Mixers are more like clubs for teens... It's fast dance music and everyone is dancing, not really talking.

Well, I go dancing at Salsa clubs, so it may be a little different for where you're going. But some general tips:
1) There will be a definite pattern to the room where the girls who want to dance are sitting and where the girls are not sitting. Place yourself in a high traffic area.
2) If you're going with friends and you're sitting in a booth or a table, make sure you're sitting at the edge. There's no way I'm going to reach over you're friends to ask you to dance.
3) It wouldn't kill you to smile at the guys. I'm more likely to ask a woman that I don't know to dance if she smiles at me than if she doesn't.
4) When you are dancing, look like you're having fun dancing with the guy. My attitude is that if she's having fun dancing with someone else, she's likely to have fun dancing with me.
5) Also, find a place that you can go to regularly. You'll soon find other regulars and the guys would be more comfortable asking you to dance. Given the choice, I'll give one of my regular partners first pass than someone I haven't danced with before and I usually try to get at least one dance with my regulars before the end of the night.
I hope this helps.
EDIT: Oh and I hope this goes with out saying: smell nice, don't be drunk. Drunk girls get kicked so far to the end my dance card I'll be dancing it's not even funny.
