Need help with a Sagittarius friend.?

ok. i've been with my friend who's a sagittarius since kindergarten. but we've been on and off through the fact he's always moved but we've kept in touch via spots and email. but until we had a 4 year gap where we didn't communicate at all. but now i'm in high school and he moved back to my area. we've been hanging out all this school week. but we've got to a point where i'm almost moving to slow for him. but this has never happened before. someone please help me.

i'm a Leo sun which is compatible with Sagittarius. but i'm born on the cusp of leo-virgo and virgo is not compatible AT ALL with Sagittarius. but i wonder if anything else is holding me back to him.
