first of all let me state two things: 1. I am a boxer, 2. I am not a bigger fan of either May or Pac, I'm as neutral as it's possible to be on these things. The main thing I'm a fan of is seeing this fight. It would be the "Rumble in the Jungle" of our generation. There is a super bowl every year; this is the only sporting event that would trump it, in terms of hype generated, the general excitement of the sporting public, and overall magnitude of importance in the sporting lexicon. The world would stop for this fight.

Unfortunately, as I stated, I do NOT believe this fight will happen, because, I have come to the objective conclusion that Mayweather is a coward (objective in the sense that I don't root against him, I'm just reading the available material on his actions). In case those reading this response haven't followed the sequence of events surrounding this potential match-up or don't understand their significance, I'll explain them to you:

May and Pac's people were in dicsussions for a fight between the two of them. The short version of a fight negotiation is that the better-regarded fighter gets some sort of recognition of his higher status through enhanced negotiating power. He gets more money, pretty much chooses the location, date, and other details, such as drug testing requirements. Obviously, in negotiations such as these, there are pretty much established guidelines to go by. That doesn't mean they're always followed, especially as this is the fight of the century, but it would, in theory, give the two sides a starting place. The last bit of set-up needed is that this inherent "unfairness" or "off-balanced" agreement gives a psychological advantage to the fighter who comes in as the big dog financially.

*Basically, boxing is about domination. Domination of all forms- mentally, physically, monetarily, even sexually (Why do you think those hot gf's of fighters sit ringside with their sexy dresses on? It's to say, "See that, chump? That's the kind of girl I can get. I'm the alpha male, and you are my slave." If you win the negotiations, so to speak, then you have that next small edge.

May and Pac are extremely close from a negotiating stand point. Their deal should reflect that. However, Mayweather kept attempting to, in a metaphorical sense, bend Pac over the table, with his demands. He kept wanting more money than him.... which Pac agreed to; he asked for enhanced drug testing.....which Pac agreed to; then he asked for an even higher level of drug testing..... and there Pac drew the line.

What you have to understand is that what Mayweather is doing here is backing out of the fight, without saying, "I'm backing out of this fight." Pac is more in his prime than Mayweather. You can debate who is the better fighter, but at the very least, Pac is a serious, serious threat to Mayweather's undefeated record. The BEST thing about boxing is the respect. You are seen as the toughest of all the different sporting champions. That's why they call the heavyweight champion the best athlete in the world (I don't know if that's true anymore, with boxing's demise). If we were all animals fighting for the last crumb, theoretically, he'd win. Mayweather's undefeated record gives him legitimate claim to title of the best ever, or at least one of them. If he loses to Pac, he loses the BEST part about himself.

He isn't afraid of getting hurt. Most boxers aren't physically afraid of that kind of physical danger. What they're afraid of is losing everything they've worked for their whole lives. But that's another form of cowardice. The fear to put it all on the line, to fight anyone, anytime. You can't just say you do that, and then keep messing up the negotiations on purpose, over and over.

Mayweather is under-educated and over-arrogant in my opinion. And in my mind, him sabatoging these negotiations is worse than any loss he ever could have suffered.

    .........coward.

one million.) If the combat is at a hundred thirty wherein you mentioned Manny had a concern towards JMM, then I'll opt for Floyd. But it is at 147 wherein FMJr energy would possibly not have an impact on Pacquiao. two.) in four months time, the ears might have healed already. I bet it's kind of less difficult for Manny, on account that he is simply been on a inflexible coaching. three.)#three - It's relatively what matters the Pac lovers probably the most. It's a lose- lose trouble for Manny. If he lose within the ring, there is a bigger hazard he will lose within the crusade. But I bet he'd use that as a motivation He had to win towards Floyd. Too unhealthy no person's performed that but.

    Mayweather would win IMO.

Mayweather's defence and technical skill is too much for Pac-man. Look at Hatton-Mayweather (Before I get comments saying Pac KO'd him in 2 and is way better hear me out), the point is that Hatton threw so many more punches and failed to land them on Mayweather. Mayweather is too fast on his feet and has a crazy defense, which would stop Pac's crazy attack, Mayweather's defense is just too good for his attack. That and he has a longer reach coupled with his more technical skill. Also has more stamina.

Pacquiao is good and more exciting but Mayweather is too technical.

    Mayweather UD.
