Samsung Galaxy S2 media player opinions?

I'm in the market for a new phone, i really like the Samsung Galaxy S2, though i also like the IPhone so i don't have to carry around an IPod.Is the Samsung Galaxy's media player good? Is it easy to add music from the computer? And easy to manage the music?(add album art, change artist/song name)

The Media Player is good. It's quite similar to the iPhone and iPod Touch music player (minus the cover flow effect). You can enable 5.1 surround sound and equalizers if you plug it to headphones or speakers. You can play a lot of different type of music files and even video files and can even be 1080p Full HD (I included this because you said media player).

Adding your music onto your phone from the computer is pretty easy. Just copy it into a Music folder like you would on a USB flash drive (Copy + Paste). After that, you will find it in the music player.

Unfortunately, there isn't an easy way to edit the music files (eg: to add album art, change name and etc.). You need to edit them on your computer first before you put it in your phone (I had to go through a hard time just editing each song file so they could come up correctly on the phone and get sorted correctly. If you want the phone to view artist name correctly you need to edit "Contributing artist" on Windows Media Player (or some other music player or mp3 tag editor on your computer). Also, this is pretty much the same on the iPhone. Fortunately, there are a few apps for the Galaxy S II that allows you to edit song files (eg: iTag, which is free). So you do have a few ways of editing.

I hope this has helped. I personally like it since it's fast and easy to use.

Any smartphone you buy these days will have a music player. I have a BlackBerry and with the software it easily syncs your itunes to the BlackBerry media player. If you get an android I believe you can use Double Twist to sync itunes as well.

Yes! The phone doesn't live on another program like iTunes, which makes it very convenient. Managing the music is also easy.
