Does that in any way help you in your job.??

I started out in medical research, so the math used in chemistry was very important as a part of my work. Chemistry involves basic math, algebra and dimensional analysis. I switched to engineering, where the use of all types of math has been important, including trigonometry, calculus, differential equations, linear algebra, and mechanics of materials. Many jobs now require ability to use a computer and also understand business management, so those abilities also need a good background in mathematics.

Yes, math helps me in any job I've had, and skills with mathematics also made a positive difference to employers when it came to actually hiring me, and allowing me to advance in job position and paycheck.

I work in retail and we constantly have things going on sale at a certain percentage off. So a lot of the times people ask me how much something will end up being with the discount so I do a lot of percentages on a daily basis. Also counting backwards to make change when the pos goes haywire. Thats about it tho..nothing too fancy
