What would happen if I did this?

What would happen if I punched a hole at the top of a real dollar, took a string and tied in the hole. if i put my dollar in a vending machine, get a snack then try to take it back out, what would happen. Would sirens go off and everything? will i be able to pull back out my dollar?

    it wouldn't work cuz the machine wouldn't take the dollar bill it has to be 100% flat

    With a dollar, impossible. If you can manage to do it with a coin, could be possible.
