Does posting a question in the wrong category comes under the violation?

no posting in different category is not a violation it's just you don't get the right answers you want to or you don't get any at all cause no one in that category knows nothing about that.

you can report but your reporting background would become black....and when you really report some violation well probably doesn't get counted.

if you see violation it's okay to report!!

No that is not a violation just a poor choice. Experts in one category that could supply the facts a question seeks would not see something in a different category

if that is the first time the asker puts it in the wrong category no because it might be an accident but it that keeps happening it is a violation especially if it is the same category

Exactly No, Category dose not matter. The word and the language pattern is the main and also the pattern of the question/ answer.

It is only a violation if repeated and done intentionally. It is usually pretty obvious when it rises to a violation. Just a one off misposting is NOT a violation.

If it is consistently done yes it is a violation.

Technically yes we can report, But morally no we shouldn't, Because mistakes do happen, No one is perfect.

If it was a honest mistake you should let the asker know.

If they keep doing it, it might be spam and you should report

it as just that!
