Does anyone know if the next patch released for Dead Island is going to fix corrupt games?

So last night when I was playing my game saves on it became corrupted and I had to start all the way at the beginning with a new charterer in order to play but I am wondering are the creators ever going to fix the saves of the many people like me who's game on it have been corrupted or should I just save myself the space and delete my saves of those corrupted games? Also does anyone know yet when the next patch will be out?

I myself was affected by the Corrupted game save too. It irritated me a lot considering that this game has been in production for the last 4 years and that was plenty of time to squash bugs like that.

After looking around awhile I finally came up with some good news.

What causes auto-saves to become glitched?

"Testing has revealed that data becomes corrupted when Dead Island‘s online infrastructure attempts to join two or more players with the “Join” feature."

I don't know if you play on the PS3, XBOX 360 OR pc but if you go to the following site you can read up upon it further.

It is mainly for the PS3 but it's still good infor. Also, xbox 360 always recieve the patches earlier than the PS3 so if it's going to be released for the PS3 soon then the odds are that a patch for the 360 and PC version is right around the corner.

    Good luck.
