I borrowed a medium size sum of money from my neighbor, and I paid back a portion of it,BUT, my neighbor has?
been stealing food drom my locked apt. at times while I am gone and also at times while I am at home or outside, as she sneaks in , grabs some soup from my pantry or a 2L of 7-Up from my house and takes it back to hers house even though she does not like 7-UP. This has been going on for the past year, recently I lost my keys, for the past 2 months ( I accidently left them at her house ) Instead of returning the keys to me , she has been coming into my house when I am not home to steal food and whatever else she took. I caught her at this last week Sunday as I went to church early and my wife went later, so while my wife was at church and I was quietly sitting at home, she comes with my wifes keys, opens the door, and see my sitting quietly in the chair, she said that she came over to unlock the door and leave the keys on the table and to tell my wife, when she returns from church that she left the keys on the table and that the door was open. She also gave my bacon from my house to the lady next doo who receives three times as many LINK points as I do, plus they both sat out on the community picnic bench with me and were telling each other what they were going to make for dinner with my stolen bacon. I am really STEAMING MAD, I have told my wife how I feel about this, BUT she still wants to pay back a portion of the money that we owe and then tell the lady that the other 1/2 of the money is being kept for the food that she stole from us..... MY question is ..DO I tell her to go Fudge herself OR pay back a portion of the money.??? Please and Thanks for your comments.

You and your wife should sit down with her and ask her to agree to lower your loan obligation by the value of the food she took without your permission.
At the same time, what's stopping you from installing a hidden security camera inside your house?

File a report! she snuck into your house and stole items when you where not there that files under breaking and entering that's a serious crime. it does not matter if she uses the money you owe her as an escuess to steal form you. she is looking at jail time what you need to do is file also finish whatever money you owe her, pay her then sue or call the cops. she could be a sexual predictor to your kids. you don't know if she is but if she is that stupid to steal and sneak into your house like that why wouldn't she try it wile you are all asleep, what if she made more keys of your keys so just in case she does get caught, and a whole year dude? that is crazy im surprised you went this long before going crazy or angry so best of luck to you OK. pay her back, call cops-file on her, sue. is what I think you need to do.

I'll make it short & sweet: 2 wrongs don't make a right
You are morally obligated to repay the loan. The honest & respectible thing to do is to take the high road, pay back your debt. And change your locks. If your neighbor is dishonest enough to sneak in and take food from you while you are out, then they might have made a copy of your key.

if you or your wife lost your keys you should of changed your locks, as for her stealing food you have no proof, she could say she just found the keys on the day she returned them and any court would again ask if you knew things where going missing, why did you not change your locks and if you did not notice, then how do you know anything dod go missing

The loan and the thefts are two different things. SHE can prove in small claims court that you have only paid back part of what you owe. YOUR defense -- her stealing -- would be difficult to prove.
Pay the rest of the money and change the locks on your doors.

I don't even know how to respond to such a pathetic dilemma. For the love of God, why haven't you changed your locks?

Pay back the money and change your locks.
