Make-up help, please?
I'm new to make-up and I was just wondering about foundation
Because that seems like a basic thing
I've been searching up different types of foundations,
and I've finally found one that I want to buy :D
But I don't know how to choose a color?
Am I supposed to choose one that's a little darker or lighter than my original skin tone?
I already looked for one thats completely the same skin tone,
But mines is between two of the colors
So am I supposed to choose one that's a little lighter or a little darker?

Tinted moisterizer is the ultimate BEST. Especially when your new to make up. It will always blend in no matter what shade you get it in. It will blend with your skin tone and will never look cakey, and it will have a really nice coverage if you put a press powder over it. If you go darker in tinted moisturizer it will look as if you got a nice natural tan, like a bronzed kind of feature wich is really nice looking. Another benifit is no clogged pores, so no pimples or break outs from the makeup! Hope this helps! :)

You should probably want to get one the closest to your skin tone or lighter. But probably not darker. Test out different brands and types (liquid, powder, etc) and see what works best with you and your skin. I know make-up from the mall can be a little expensive but they usually have specialist who can help pick out your exact shade and give you awesome make-up advice and tips. Good luck anyway. ^^

hey!
I'm a YouTube beauty guru and i deal with these questions all the time.
If you want to choose a foundation correctly you match it too your chest. Never try to find a foundation by matching it too your cheeks, chin or eyes as these areas have different colours in them but your chest always stays the same.
I did a foundation routine on my youtube channel. My username is MoniqueHorseyMusic so be sure to check it out. It also explains how to correctly apply foundation and how to choose a foundation

You don't need the exact same skin color for foundation unless you want it to look reaally natural. Personally, I would go for the lighter one but it's your choice whether you look better a bit paler or a bit more tan (:

If you're in between you could get both and mix them, then you can use the darker one for summer and lighter for the pale winter days.
or you could get either and put either a bronzer over to darken or light powder to lighten it, problem solved:D
I would advise you to get an exact match though, it would look nicer in pictures as well.
