Air Force- It may not be the most popular but I would choose it because of it's strict focus on education.

if you join the military because of popularity you'll hate the military...
Assuming you want to join because you care about helping others, and want to be apart of a winning team/successful organization....
When I was single active duty was great! I learned more in four years of active duty than four years in college, but I can tell you serving in the Army National Guard is better for a couple of reasons:
1)Funding. The Army National Guard has two sources of income, state and federal. All other components have one, mainly DOD funding (the Navy splits theirs with the Marine Corps and the Air Force is downsizing).
2)Control. If you decide to make the National Guard a career, you will never hear: "you have to relocate" as you would on active duty (the downfall is you may not get promoted very fast) - you can serve 20 years of military service in/around your hometown. Vise verse, if marriage, career, or a ailing family member needs you to relocate; its fairly easy to do so on your own - keep your command informed and file your paperwork asap.
The Army National Guard is career oriented; both for your personal and military careers. The educational benefits far exceed any other branch of service (b/c of funding), and there are always things to volunteer for (thru AKO) if you get bored or short on cash.
Every state is different, so do the research to find out how your state handle things.

Depends on what job you want and the kindof person you are. Do you want to be a person who sees combats and gets deployed alot? Join the Army/Marines. Do you want to work on computers or work on jets? Join AF. Do you want to be on a ship and work on a aircraft carrier? Join Navy. If your looking for most popular, the Army has the most soliders out of all the branches.

I would be most inclined to join the Coast Guard. I was raised on the water and I know boats, so it's what I would be most comfortable with. I also tend to be a pacifist, and if I had to use violence, I prefer that it be in a truly defensive manner.

I would join the Air Force because I want to be in AFOSI.

I would not join the military at all, or ever. I would rather eat a grenade.
