a softball thrown straight up at 17.5 m/s is caught 3.60s later. how high does the ball rise?

    Each movement is 1/2 the time, so it takes 1.8 secs. to reach maximum height.

    Height = (v^2/2g), = (17.5^2/19.6), = 15.625 metres.
