My son had the same thing when he was 8 weeks, we had to get xrays and blood work done and by the time the 3 weeks were up for the test results it was gone. When i researched it though it said that some cases can take up to 6 months to absorb back into their body.

Caput suc. usually heals after a week. Cephalhematoma usually heals for a long time and there is a tendency of the newborn to be yellowish because of rapid destruction of RBC's.

do you mean hemageoma a red dot or colection of blood veils in a spot my girl is 3 months and it still there had it sence birth

my newborn had a really beet colored almost flat one on her shoulder but its almost gone and she is 12 months old but a friends kid has the SAME one and hers is getting bigger. no idea. she said when the middle starts geting white it means its going away?
