How can anybody hate ANY of these genres (see below) more than whiny, teen angst pop-"punk"?

Different strokes for different folks. If I happen to enjoy parody songs and you don't, does that make you better than me? Hardly. A better question might be how someone can devote so much time to ranting about the same subjects ad nauseum. So if someone likes "whiny teen-angst pop-punk", then why should YOU care? They aren't forcing YOU to listen to it...yet you seem determined to force people to believe what you believe. It's a truly sad individual who thinks that their opinion is the only one that matters. Sad indeed. Don't like Jersey Shore or programmes involving "housemates living together"? Fine...don't watch them. Don't like Blink 182? Fine...don't listen to them. I honestly doubt that I'd care to watch Jersey Shore or the endless array of "reality" tv programmes. Nor did I care for the Blink 182 song I listened to recently. I listened mainly cos I hadn't heard them before, to my knowledge. I didn't care for them. But I don't rant incessantly about it. And why not, you may ask? Well...mainly cos that would be...stupid...moronic...and a complete waste of time. And might make me appear to be a complete prat. Take that however you see it. For what it's worth.

Blink 182 are aficionados of no style. Do a bit study. Blink 182 used to be only a great widespread pop punk band within the HUGE waves of father punk bands that surfaced within the ninety's, comparable to Green Day, New Found Glory, The Offspring, ect. A well instance of the band which might be aficionados of that style might be Toy Guns. Maybe you will have to spend much less time finding out generes which might be so minuscule within the grand sceme of matters and extra time looking to realise the development of a style. If you consider no emo/pop punk bands have any proficiency why do not you check out a few bands like Stay Ahead of the Weather, American Football, or 1000's of others than do not get attention seeing that individuals blindly move it up for "rave residence" or "viking steel." And ninety eight% if the genres you indexed above are absolute crap. And for the list, I do not even like pop punk that so much.

Would rather listen to pop punk than a lot of the genres you have listed esp metal,trance and house.

If everyone liked the same it would be a shitty world.

I fiercely hate Metal. Also Electro House is atrocious.

Incredible though it may seem, different people have different tastes. Being elitist and snobby does not bless you with "good" taste in music.
