My sister wants to be a model, Is this a dumb idea?
She is ever so pretty, but I think it takes much more than good looks to succeed in this, I'd say it takes good luck and lots of it.
Should I try to talk her out of pursuing this carreer.

I think if she makes it her ambition to succeed in modelling then it shouldn't be seen as a dumb idea.
Although if she's in it just for money or public attention then...it's probably a dumb idea.
I think you should talk to her and let her know how you feel about her pursuing this a career if she's not fully interested.
I'm trying to win a modelling contest right now..it involved a professional photoshoot if you win.

Let her do what she wants, take her to acting classes or something since that will help her carreer and resume

No, i would let her try what she likes, if she fails at it, its a lesson learned, she can always seek in another carrer and go back to school.
