How are books boring and what are the disadvantages of reading them?

I think language plays a big part of it. If the writing is dull, the book will seem boring. Or maybe you're just not interested in the subject (like school textbooks, ugh) and the book will seem boring then. Or reading might not be your thing.

I don't think books are boring in the slightest, but i've read some where the writing is dull and unimaginative which makes the book itself dull.

Err you could fall asleep, but I suppose that might be an advantage if the book was that bad.

Books arent boring unless you have no interest in the story .... No disadvantages , how could there be?
