Will Monta Ellis be called up next year for the US Olympic team?

And if so, list him along with your full projected US team roster.

    Helllll noo !

    1) His skills would be redundant. We already have D Rose Westbrook, D Wade holding down the slasher role.

    2) 2004 Team Usa Bronze finish ring a bell? Iverson ballhogging? Monta is a mini version of AI with his ball-hoarding and undersized D. He would take away from the team more than help it. With Olympic roster, you gotta look at the totality of the team and what roster works together the best. That means having pure shooters and defensive specialists. Monta would not fit, he's too selfish and 1-dimensional. And that 1-dimension he has - scoring - is something Team USA already has plenty of.

    3) Not the best teammate...

    4) He's overrated. Has the most bloated stats in the NBA due to the # of minutes he plays and the offense he's in.

here's the roster I'd have for team USA...

    pg - Deron Williams / D Rose / *Westbrook

    sg - Kobe / D Wade

    sf - Lebron / A Iguadala

pf - Durant / Carmello / *Kevin Love

    c - D Howard / Tyson Chandler

    * Might trade out Westbrook for L. Aldridge so that we have a big guy with more of a true post game

    * I'd probably have K Love play more minutes vs the Gasol Bros of Spain cuz Durant would have a hard time guarding their twin towers.

*Also having another shooter to stretch the floor probably wouldn't hurt. Someone like Steph Curry - although he struggled in 2010 games. Kobe and Durant can light it up from outside so probably wouldn't be a problem.

can't wait for 2012 Olympics. gonna be fun to watch

What up, Monta Ellis is definitely a youthful and exciting participant and is definitely recognized and respected around the league. He actual has all-celebrity understanding although the West is so deep on the shelter place that each and according to annum you're able to have a pair of fellows left off the team that are deserving or a minimum of you're able to make a case for i advise you have: Kobe, CP3, T. Mac, Iverson, Deron Williams, Nash, Manu Ginoboli, Tony Parker, Brandon Roy, Kevin Martin, Baron Davis, and Gilbert Arenas might additionally finally finally end up on the West Coast, so the West is extremely shelter loaded and that i'm helpful there are nonetheless a pair of option stable guards that i'm leaving off. Ellis is youthful and exciting and that i'm helpful he gets his due credit contained quicker or later- no longer so helpful approximately in '09 yet he actual is properly worth of interest and communicate.... At this point he isn't on the list of 35 players in the Usa roster that will compete for a spot on the 2012 olympic team. Only 12 guys will be picked out of 35. If you want to look at the players currently on the roster go to usabasketball.com and look for the men's national roster. All of the names are there but he isn't 1 of them so he probally won't play.

Ellis does not get the proper respect he deserves. He can put the points up and steal the ball with the best of them.
