php and apache installation problem?
dear friends,
i have problem in trying to install the php and apache
i download the binary executable zip file from official site, decompressed,following instruction, the apache can be installed, but cannot run properly, on localhost server, can be started but cannot used to host web pages
the php is downloaded, also binary exe, that folder gtk.exe cannot make sense running
what is the problem

I guess, you should change the port number while installation.
If there is any already existing applications that uses the same port number as your php does, then the php will be installed but you cannot run on your system.
This might clear problem in the installation.

I assume your trying to install php on a windows server.
the easilest way to do this is to use IIS instead of apache its easy ot install using the "free microsoft web platform installer"
and you can even set up PHPmyadmin and MySQL at the same time. through a easy to use form

I don't really know what's the problem , but i would like to suggest using all in one package like XAMPP for example , installing xampp is very easy , just run the installation file and your done.
