Ipod Classic Audio Problem?
Okay, i have an ipod classic, and when my earphones are plugged into the audio jack, sound only comes out of one side (left side). But, when i hold the earphone cord in a certain position, sound returns to the right, once i've let go, sound from the right earphone disappears. Now, i do know about the Ipod audio jack problem, but when i wiggle the earphone jack, while inside the audio jack of the ipod, still no sound returns to the right earphone. Using other earphones, sound is only in the left ear, and while moving the ipod cord, and wiggling the audio jack, sound still doesn't return.
Could this JUST be a problem with the earphones ?
Or the audio jack on the ipod?
If it's a problem with the ipod itself, how much would it cost to get the Audio Jack replaced with a new one? And where would i get that done? (I live in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia).
Ipod is only new, but i'm constantly unplugging the earphones, to use on my pc, could that have effected the ipod's audio jack? But, when earphones are plugged into the PC, it STILL does the same thing, and i have to hold the cord in a certain position for the earphones to have sound in the right ear too. Could my PC audio jack be ****** too? lol
Seems like i have a problem with both earphones, and the ipod...

well its probably best not to play with it much because it might not be still under warranty or something like that. your best option is to take it into the apple store. i live in brisbane too and my closest apple store was the one in chermside which is not far from the airport. you can easily search up the store on google maps, but here is the adress anyways: apple Store Chermside, Gympie Road.
but yeah, once you have got to the apple store you should just explain to the guys there what you explained on here and they could help you. thus tell you what to do next :)
Also what types of earphones do you have? i had the same problem with my macbook, like when i pushed them in further and held te this up they worked fine... but it was the earphones, not the laptop. the same might go for the ipod. if so, you can just buy some new earphones (even though they are not apple they will still work) you can get them from $3-$100
:D

Try this, get a q tip or cotton swab, and rip off a little of the cotton until it's the right size to fit into your audio jack , dip the cotton swab in rubbing alcohol and enter it into your audio jack and wiggle it around a little, it cleans the jack and I've used it before

It relies upon on how a lot you like it for purely track or video games. I didnt think of of you may text textile and play video games on classics? So for purely track, i ought to assert classic, or in line with probability nano. in case you prefer to follow it greater desirable like a smart telephone, get a ipod touch 4th
