The brakes won't work on my 1992 Toyota pickup?
We have had several problems with our pickup in the last two weeks, we had the clutch and the starter changed, then we couldn't get it to start without jumping it. Finally we figured out how to get it running but now the brakes won't work. We have checked the brake booster, bled the lines and checked for leaks but nothing gives us any clue as to what could be wrong. Please Help!
There didn't seem to be any leaks when my husband checked and as for the pedal, It's normal when the truck is off but once it's turned on the pedal has no resistance it just goes straight to the floor.

If there are no external leaks it may be the master cylinder.
Does the brake pedal get hard?
Does it stay hard or slowly go to the floor?
Was there good pressure at the bleed valve at the wheel when you bled it?
Any fluid leakage around the rear brake drum?

The calipers can be frozen (rusted). It feels like you have resistance at the pedal but there's no motion at the brake pads. That or the master cylinder is shot, or both.

if there are no leaks and the pedal goes to the floor check the fluid in the master cylinder. if it,s full then it must be the master cylinder bad.
