I have a question about Internet modems?
Hello there, I was wondering if there would be any adverse affects if I connected a second Internet modem onto my phone line. I have one that's a modem/wireless router combo, but my dad likes to disconnect the phone line from the modem/router at night. If I were to get a second modem and connect it when he disconnects the other one, would I have any issues?
Other info: AT&T 2wire 2701 HG-B wireless router/modem
(word to the wise: DON'T GET AT&T Internet plans if at all possible)

Theoretically that should work if only 1 modem is used at a time. All you can do it try it and see what happens. Rest assured that you won't hurt anything by trying.
