It will require explaining, if it was years ago say when you were a teen and you can show that you are not that person anymore you might be able to work with kids but you wouldn't be an ideal candidate, you have to have something really exceptional to offer. Different organisations have different policies with regards to CRB checks.

Drunk and disorderly are not qualities that hiring managers want. You will not be hired to work with children, the elderly, or anyone else that requires responsible supervision. The terms drunk and disorderly are included in a criminal record, and it will hold you back from finding employment.
