Could my dogs hot spots be caused from her operation?

I have a Dogue de Bordeux X *****. On June she suffered a very severe open cervix pyometra, and was neutered. She seemed to be recovering well but then started to suffer severe hair loss and lots of hot spots. Could it be from the stress of her op??? She's 5 and has been perfectly healthy since she was born but has just deteriorated since her op

Update:

Ok it seems I now sound like a neglectful owner!!! Can I add she's been back to the vets FOUR TIMES since her op!!! She has medication and shampoo but isn't improving as yet. But the vets haven't been very explanatory about the cause of her problem, and google can only help do much.

Wow I just looked up what that is.....I'm so sorry your dog had to go thru this, and I'm glad she made it.I would take her back to the vet for a visit to see what they say.Unfortunatly none of us are vets(i don't think),and can't tell you anything really.I do hope your dogs OK.

She needs to go back to the vet now. This could be stress related or she has something else going on.

If she has been suffering with this since her operation in June, you should have taken her back at that time. Severe hair loss and hot spots are symptoms to many different illnesses and diseases.

This is October. Get her back to the vet!

Kay: Your vet is not doing his/her job. A skin scrapping should have been done from the beginning. This SOUNDS like a serious case of allergies and or a terrible skin infection. There are MANY different illnesses and/or diseases that cause hair loss and hot spots. I recommend getting her to a canine dermatologist.
