Niall Quinn is stepping down.... Sunderland fans rejoice?

Is this the first step on the road to no more Steve Bruce?

Update:

Geordie: This is just a polite firing, move him to a job that gives him little influence over the clubs day to day operations. He'll be gone by the end of the season, and Bruce could be leading the way if he doesn't get a couple wins by the end of the month

I knew Quinn must've been standing on something to make him that height.

to be fair, if he was leaving the club there would be good reason to panic, but hes just got a different job and is still in the club so i dont think its that big of a worry for them.

Good for them, you need a better than Steve Bruce because he is awful. Last year, they could/should have finished 7th but Bruce messed up

yes Niall Quinn took over the club when Sunderland were rock bottom of the championship so he hasn't done bad as chairman has he

I think Sunderland should keep Steve as he is a great manger who can lead the club forward

It is certainly looking that way. I am surprised Quinn has changed roles. He has done great for the club!
