Question about my Plecostomus (Algae Eating Fish), In urgent need of helpful answers?

Hi I need someone to help me figure out what is wrong with my Plecostomus (Algae Eater). Yesterday we noticed that it looked as though he has ick. So we dropped in those tablets that are supposed to help get rid of it. However, this morning I noticed that his skin seems to be deteriorating. His fins look as though they are being eaten away. I'm also pretty sure that I can see his skeleton. What could it be? I know that other fish aren't eating him because he is the only fish that we own right now. Also, his skin kind of looks like felt, which really makes me wonder what is wrong with him. Is he going to be ok? Is there anything we can do to help him? We've had him for about 2 or 3 years, and this has never happened before. Also, this has never happened to our previously owned Plecos. Please help! We need answers as soon as possible. Thanks so much!

Nope, it is going to die quite speedy.. Plecos want, i might say, a minimum of 40-fifty 5 Gallons of water, so a million gallon won't do. additionally they want a heater and a filter out, so a bottle won't do. it is going to easily have somewhat greater then in basic terms some eco-friendly algae in a bottle. Sorry, yet this is test, is a recipe for catastrophe, and additionally you mustn't do it. No fish will stay on in that bottle, so which you will think of of a clean test. From what i understand, stay animals in an test gets you disqualified, yet in line with risk your regulations are distinctive.. Please, do no longer kill the harmless Pleco for an test that isn't paintings... by utilising the way, are you even specific the bottle is a million gallon? with the aid of fact whether that's a 1LITRE bottle, than this is even under a million gallon... suitable of success. EDIT: Oh and that i forgot, the bottle will provide NO area for oxygen... do merely no longer do it lol.. no longer a stable concept. the 1st guy or woman isn't precise in any respect btw. No fish would desire to stay in a bottle, no longer even a betta, or maybe a splash one does no longer make a distinction for the undertaking, it is going to easily die...
