Can you use a dutch oven on a ceramic cook top?

    I really would not advise that. Unless you have an extremely effective extractor hood.

    I don't see why not, if it is a fairly new cook top. Earlier cook tops were prone to scratching easily, but newer ones are much more resistant. Just be careful not to drop the Dutch oven, as the ceramic will crack.

    A dutch oven is no different than a large fry pan except the sides are higher. I use mine on the stovetop all the time for soups and such.
