All you need? Bride, groom, officiant . . . and the paperwork and witnesses required by the state (and yes, that's the state in which the ceremony will take place).

What you may want? Google "elopement packages city state" to search for the extras that can make the day special. Those extras may include flowers, wedding cake, photos, etc.

This is one example of an elopement package:

    Good luck with your planning.

And you may want to check out this site:

Click on the elopement state for details.

Check the state you are eloping to

Some states can have up to an month waiting period

Most are less than 3 days

If you get married in state with a waiting period, make sure you have the extra days

If you want to elope to NYC and get married in central park, the waiting period is a day, so you should make sure you are there a day before

Most states you both need a photo ID

some needs a birth certificate, some needs a SS Card

Just make sure you have what you need in the state you are getting marry in

Make plans ahead of time, where you are planning on getting married

    Picture ID

    birth certificates

cash to pay for license, a witness, the officiant, and ceremony (in Los Angeles County, license 90.00, witness 18.00 and ceremony with officiant 25.00).

depends on where you are planning on getting married. Check with the city building (marriage licensing) in the city you plan on being married in and they will tell you

A drivers license, and based on the state you're in, you have to be a certain age.
