graduate school help?! (Violin Performance)?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew of any schools that provide free tuition (besides Yale and Curtis and schools in the Baltic countries) .... This past year I got into Manhattan school of Music, Royal Academy of Music and Royal College of music. I am Canadian and therefore pay international fees everywhere I go outside of Canada. Alternatively if you know anything about outside funding that would help! I'm working this year and will make about 40,000 plus 10,000 my grandparents are giving me. This still leaves me roughly 30-40,000 short of most of the schools I want to go...

what have other people done in this situation? I could work another year, but I would rather not take two years away from my studies!!!

Help please!!

Thanks,

G

Look into a TA position at the conservatory. Most conservatories have positions for graduate students to teach intro music theory or aural skills, sometimes also in a few other areas in exchange for partial or full tuition waivers. You can also look for fellowships, grants and scholarships, if you're still in school go to the financial aid office and ask for help in applying for fellowships and grants. Schools will generally help you do this as it also makes them look good to have their students get a Javits or Fullbright.
