BootManager is Missing: Windows 7- Quick Question?

Hi,

My friend has Windows 7 Home Premium x64. Her boot manager is missing but she does not have a recovery DVD and she cannot make one from the partition.

I have a Windows 7 Professional x64 DVD.

Is it possible for her to repair her W7 Home Premium boot manager using my W7 Professional DVD? Or, will she need a Windows 7 Home Premium DVD or a specific recovery DVD?

Thanks in advance =S

You might be able to do it, just place the disk in it should ask you if you want to repair the OS. However if her disk has a recovery partition that you can choose to boot from in the BIOS? If you can get to the BIOS you may want to try that. I know my last two laptops did. They had recovery partitions made at the manufacturer. One was HP and one was an Acer. good luck

She definitely needs the cd specific to her computer. Cause Home Premium and Professional are very different.

domicile windows 7 would not (regularly) assign apersistent letter to the 100MB equipment partition, yet whilst utilising the restoration DVD/CD, that partition is given the C: shifting the different drives/partitions down one letter. Please ensure that the trickypersistent with domicile windows 7 is desperate to the customary trickypersistent on your BIOS settings ( if it relatively is obtainable), or unplug the 2d trickypersistent and see if 7 boots regularly?
