    From the equation, 4 mol of P produced 1 mol of P4 O10.

    So 1 mol P produced 1/4 mole of the compound.

    No. of mole of P is --> 4.0 g / 31[Molar Mass] = 0.13 mol

    0.13 mol of P will produce 0.13/4 mol = 0.0325 mol of compund

    To convert into mass, 0.0325 x [4(31) + 10(16)] = 9.23 g...

    From the equation:

    4 mol P will produce 1 mol P4O10

    Molar mass P = 30.97g/mol

    4g = 4.0/30.97 = 0.129mol P

    0.129mol P will produce 0.129/4 = 0.0322 mol P4O10

    Molar mass P4O10 = 283.9g/mol

    0.0322mol = 0.0322*283.9 = 9.14g P4O10
