How do you give yourself an avatar on here? (Soz, I'm new)?

Go to your Yahoo Answers profile at http://answers.yahoo.com/my-activity/edit/about

Click on 'Update photo or avatar' and a small window will open.

To add a new cartoon avatar click on 'Customize avatar which will take you to http://avatars.yahoo.com/

There are many many choices in styles appearances and colors - you can save more than one choice. Remember to SAVE it. Select the picture (avatar), Click 'Use picture', then Save and Exit. There are many choices to be made, but remember to save your final choice.

To add a new photo avatar click on 'Add photo'. Select the image you want to use, using Browse for files ... and open (save) it. After clicking 'Use selected photo', be sure to click 'Submit'. Yahoo has set restrictions on the size of files allowed: .jpg or.png, square and under 10 MB. Be certain any photo is brightly lit, and a close-up.

(Your avatar will not show on Yahoo! Answers if you have set your profile to private.)

Click "My Activity" at top of page

Select "Edit My Preferences"

Click "Update photo or avatar"

Follow instructions to select your photo/avatar

Click "Submit" on bottom of original page when done

To make a carton avatar:

Make sure your Pulse profile is not hidden.
