They will never fight, at least not in the near future.
Why? Because the UFC and GSP know that Silva will completely dominate. It's a big money fight, but it wouldn't live up to the hype. Silva is too big, and way too skilled for GSP. That combined with the fact that GSP isn't durable at all equals a one sided fight for Silva.
I'd still like to see it though. Everyone would rather see it and know what happens over never seeing it and wondering what would've happened.
