Brownish/Dark Yellow Discharge?
I just turned thirteen in July, and I haven't started my period. I've been getting discharge for years, but for the past few months it's started to change. It's been a lot darker, and a lot thicker. It kind of has a smell to it, but there's no way to describe it. I've heard that this is usually a sign that you're going to get your period in a few days, but this has been happening for almost six months! Is there something wrong with me? Serious answers only, please!

I don't think it's a yeast infection, because I'm not itching, burning, etc. It's not an STD because... you know... I'm 13... So, yeah.

Im 12. i only had discharge for about 8 months - it turned pure white - yellow - than to brown. After about 2 days my period came. I would prepare yourself for your period to come in about 2-7 days.
If you dont get your period within about 2 weeks i would tell your mom. Does it burn or hurt when you pee? if it does you could have a yeast infection - which is nothing major every girl gets at least once in her life. Another sign is if your discharge smells just AWFUL. Like nothing you ever smelled before - it shouldnt smell at all. If so like i said tell your mom..Good luck (:

Does it have a fishy type of odor? and if it's yellow, that could mean you have a yeast infection.. so you should see a doctor just to make sure.
