How would one find out how many non-US citizens are employed...?

...by American companies overseas? In other words, just how many jobs COULD come back to the states if American companies were free to be just as profitable operating in the US?

Update:

I haven't suggested any jobs WILL come back to the states, I'm just curious how many COULD come back - theoretically.

Update 2:

And, I meant to be more specific regarding the type of jobs returning to the states - manufacturing jobs, not service jobs. Obviously American companies are free to open shop where they like and employ people native to that country to produce goods and provide services there.

What makes you think those jobs will ever come back to the US? Bear in mind that the tax cuts legislated during Bush the Younger's second term were supposed to make it possible for corporations to invest more money in new factories and create new jobs. It created lots of new jobs, all right - in China and India. The Bush tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations did not achieve any of what was advertised, and, in fact, were an utter failure. Tax cuts are not the answer - even Greenspan and Buffett understand that now.

By the way...did you know that Walmart is the biggest public sector employer in the Peoples Republic of China, with over 70,000 employees? And Walmart has tens of thousands of employees in India? How many of those jobs will come back to the US?
