How do you like Kursheed's advise to activist Anna Hazare to leave politics to politicians & work on social..?

What Hazare had taken up is essentially a political issue and the stake holders are primarily the politicians! How can one expect that the opposition should not support the movement? Is it not essential that they also join people's movements of consequence to politics? In fact it would be odd if the elected representatives do not participate in the movements in some way - for or against according to the merits of the movements - and remain mute spectators!

In fact BJP expressed support like many other parties like the communists in the beginning itself. One of the primary issues taken first by BJP were the black money issue and corruption (the famous Sonia deposits in Swiss in particular about which the European Press made elaborate revelations). The source of infos may be media - domestic or foreign - but the political party had a business to take up the same and they did!

And RSS is like the Congress Seva Dal of those days (my elder brother was a coach in the 60's for the local taluk unit) which mainly take social issues for support and assistance. It is the RSS volunteers who first appear in the event of a calamity like flood or tsunami! They have some principles in politics which people may or may not agree in the same way but they are no less patriotic than the congress cadres! To project then as vicious group by Congress is nothing but malicious and haughty behaviour!

Hazare showed a weakness in backing out on his right comment on the development works in Gujarath and Bihar. He buckles under pressure like an ordinary man sometime, as he is a simpleton, but he can not be taken for a ride by the Congress which youth like Bora do not understand. In those days JP and several social groups joined to attack Indira's attempts to subjugate Executive even Judiciary with such sinister suggestions like ''committed judiciary''! If the rulers remain within their boundary no one would intercede in their business except media and political parties in opposition who have anyway to criticise them for their good or bad works!

I do not go with Mr Kursheed and his call to Hazare is unwarranted and mischivous suggestion to serve his party's needs to curb mounting support for the movement! In fact Hazare should call the parties in opposition to join and help in forming a corrupt free Govt by congress or whoever in the helm! He can not be fettered with all the weird complaints expectedly raised by the rulers!

It is emerging that Anna Hazare's agitation was backed and helped by BJP and RSS. To be more precise, BJP has been using Anna Hazare for its own Political Mileage.

This has been further proved when Anna Team asked the Voters in Hissar Not to Vote for Congress.

Obviously Congress Party is sensing foul.

This is why Salman Khurshid has asked Anna Hazare to keep away from Politics and work as a Social Activist.

Any body and any society is free to alienate with any Political Party. But Anna's movement is something different. Anna should have been impartial and neutral in his approach, otherwise he will loose his credibility.

if the politics in India and politicians have been functioning properly there might have been no Hazare movement. Its just the fear that congress men can see how a single group of activists is overpowering them.

Anna must maintain a respectable distance from politicians and pol parties to preclude any controversy as the mercurial mood of the people and media must be kept in mind.

Congress and ministers have been presenting alibis for too long, be it digvijay ji or manish ji. Of course thy can't wash off their hands from the sleaze of corruption allegations. Khurshid ji's statement is another instance of a languorous defense which would bear no consequence. It's a cry in wilderness.

I am quite suspicious over the involvement of certain members in team anna itself. I can't comment over the fact whether Anna ji has any presidential ambitions backed by BJP as claimed by diggy ji. Neither can I speak on Bhagwat ji's comparision of anna's ideals with that of RSS. I am seriously confused over repercussions and outcomes of the entire campaign.

It's an apt opportunity for the opposition to gain politically; in popularity as well as votes, yet they are unable to settle internal disputes.

You talked of arundhati and her support to separatists. We have activists who overtly back maoists, naxalites etc and none of the great politicos bother them. In a county where the CM of a state asks for clemency of a dangerous terrorist, you can't expect conditions to improve.

Edit-- Gcs sir has remarked over the hissar episode which was truly unfortunate. Even though kejriwal said that they aren't against congress rather corruption, it gives out the wrong message indicating team anna's support to a particular pol party which of course anna and friends must abstain from.
