Why don't people Report Abuse?
It takes less time than ranting. You see a question you do not like report it as abuse. Chances are a second user will also come along and report it making the question go away. It would clean up the section if time was spent doing this instead of an angry reply to yet another stupid/trolling question.
Thanks for the answers. I just had to wonder. So many troll questions in a moment some days wondered how they didn't go away.

I report things that are against the Community Guidelines. I see it as being part of the responsibility of being a member here. However, sometimes I'll take the bait to prevent me from taking a bad mood out on my children instead. Just joking. Sometimes I'll take the bait as I get a bit of personal satisfaction from doing so.
Ooh, you got the hat trick of answers from the three stooges - antler man, dijon and extrasoft.

I don't report nor thumb up/down any question because:
1. it is petty and childish
2. Reporting or thumbing up/down a question/answer is really meaningless if you think about it.
3. people here do not really know each other and are unlikely to meet each other in person.
4 Personally, I think anyone who takes this seriously enough to think all of this counts for something significant has a very sad sad life. Some questions are fine but I'm not exactly about to make a life changing decision just because some anonymous avatar on the Internet said I should.
dion is right: liking or disliking a post ( but one that does not violate Yahoo guidelines) is not a reason why someone should be reported. Reporting because someone posted something contrary to what your think just reflects how petty and intellectually immature you really are.

LOL, exsft! Who do you think you're fooling? You're the guy who uses many multiple accounts to thumb down the vegetarian's answers.

This question is in the Wrong section. Which IS against community guidelines. But I will not report it because I think that would be petty. I didn't have to click on this question, read it, or answer it.
Just because you don't like a question or an answer doesn't mean it needs to be reported and it doesn't mean its violates the community guidelines.

"You see a question you do not like report it as abuse"
Not "liking" a post does not make it a violation.
Personally, I don't report posts. I consider it censorship (yes I realize yahoo answers is not a public forum) and most of what people report is harmless, and not really a violation anyways. I feel that reporting is for tattletales and crybabies.
