Go to the right bottom corner. There is a person icon. Click on it. There you can see the plus sign. Click on that. Type in your friend's name. Add him. He will accept. Then you can go click play and click any mode. Then click invite friends. Then you can invite by clicking the invite button. Then add him to the right side. Then press play when he accepts. There you go.

Open friends list and bottom right side there is a plus sign. Click that to add a friend.
