    Actual Vikings spoke Old Norse which was an ancient Germanic language that spawned Scandinavian languages such as Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Icelandic and Faroese. Today, Islandic is probably the closest language to what Vikings spoke. But on the show, they speak in Swedish
